Activities Report for the session 2023-24

Induction Programme

The Rovers and Rangers unit of the college organised an Induction Programme on 8th of September 2023 for newly enrolled Rovers and Rangers members. In this session Patrol Leaders gave detailed presentation on Bharat Scouts and Guides its history, objectives, mission etc. Rover Puneet and Rover Harsh Ghai of B. Com II were the main speakers who gave presentation on Bharat scouts and Guides .

Activity: Ek Tareek Ek Ghanta (ETEG)

Rovers and Rangers Unit of Govt. Degree College Arki, organized a successful cleanliness drive as part of the Ek Tareek Ek Ghanta programme under the campaign Swachhata Pakhwada and Swachhata Hi Sewa on 1st October, 2023, focusing on the surrounding of Health Centre in Batal Village. The drive aimed to promote cleanliness and hygiene in the community and create awareness about its importance. The volunteers, displaying their commitment and enthusiasm, arrived early in the morning at 9:30am. The cleanliness drive was started with a vibrant and enthusiastic rally from the campus of GDC Arki to Batal village. Around the health centre, Pradhan, up-Pradhan and ward members of Gram Panchayat Batal village welcomed the rally. ...Swachhata pledge was administered to the volunteers by the Rovers Leader Mr.Puneet Thakur. After that volunteer cleaned the surrounding of health centre and water source. In this programme, Panchayat head, ward members and other local members along with the volunteers contributed enthusiastically. About 100 people including local people participated in this programme. This programme was completed under the guidance and patronage of the college principal, Professor Sunita Sharma. Professor Puneet Thakur (Rovers Leader), Professor Chaman Pista, Professor Hemlata (Rangers Leader), Professor Rekha, Dr. Dhan Dev Sharma and Professor Suman Kumari were present on behalf of the college.
This cleanliness drive was a resounding success. Through the dedication and hard work, the volunteers were able to promote cleanliness and hygiene in Batal Village. The initiative not only enhanced the Health Centre's overall appearance but also created a positive impact on the health and well-being of the community.

State Level Nipun Testing Camp for Rovers

The Bharat Scouts & Guides Association, Himachal Pradesh organised a State Level Nipun Testing Camp for Rovers w.e.f. 26-sept-2023 to 30-sept-2023 which was held at STC, Rewalsar District Mandi. The camp was attended by two Rovers of the college:-
