Department of Political Science

The department of political science is one of the oldest and most popular department among the humanities subjects of government college Arki. It it has been established with the inception of college in 1994. A very large number of the students opt for political science as an elective subject. The course offered by the department are affiliated to HP University Shimla. The objectives of the discipline are to make students familiarise and understand the concept of political science.It also help them understand and distinguish between basic concepts like Political theory political thought and political philosophy. Students can relate the facts with political realities of the country and different parts of the world and assess how International National and regional development affects polity and society. In addition to this political science is career oriented and helps students to make a career in the administration, judiciary, teaching and many more other fields. Since its inception the department is doing a tremendous job to achieve academic goals of the student.
